The Silver model’s price has gone up, but the Space Black version is now back at its all-time low of $1,397 after briefly selling out. This is the most affordable M4 MacBook Pro at the lowest price we’ve tracked. More details below.
If you’re after a powerhouse M4 Max MacBook Pro, Amazon has slashed the price of the 16-inch model with 48GB RAM and a 1TB SSD to $3,589 shipped—$400 off its usual $3,999 price.

We’ve seen some great deals on the higher-end M4 Pro configurations since last year’s holiday sales, but today marks the first opportunity in 2025 to grab the most affordable new M4 MacBook Pro at an all-time low. Amazon is offering an on-page coupon that drops the 14-inch M4 MacBook Pro with 16GB RAM and a 512GB SSD to $1,399 shipped in both Space Black and Silver—that’s $200 off the regular $1,599 price at Apple and other retailers.
Normally priced at $1,599, this is Apple’s base model M4 MacBook Pro, now available for $200 off. We saw it hit $1,399 a few times during Black Friday and just before Christmas 2024, but this is the first time since then that it’s back at this full discount.
For comparison, Best Buy still has this configuration at $1,599, though paid Plus and Total members can get an extra $80 off—potentially a better deal if you have store credit.
Apple launched its M4, M4 Pro, and M4 Max models in October, bringing upgraded RAM configurations across the lineup. Now, the base model M4 MacBook Pro ships with 16GB of RAM, making it a much better value than previous entry-level MacBooks. And with the new Space Black color option instead of Space Gray, many buyers may find it hard to justify spending extra on the M4 Pro models.
If you need more storage, we’re also tracking a 1TB SSD version for $1,599 ($200 off), but unless you really need the extra space, today’s deal on the base model is the best value—you’d essentially be paying $200 just for 512GB of additional storage.
