I’ve been using the regular Samsung Galaxy S24 for a while now and I have quite a few thoughts to share about this device. So here’s my full review of regular Galaxy s24.
Design
I’ve reviewed the S24 Ultra and the S24 Plus, but I’ve been using the S24, and I absolutely love the build, the design, and the smaller form factor. It just fits well in the hand fits great in the pocket and is a fantastic device on the go. This phone is becomes to be one of my favorite Android devices in a long time. Speaking of the build, many say it’s reminiscent of the iPhone 15 Pro, and I’d say they’re absolutely right—it’s very similar.
Display
The display, even in broad daylight, looks solid. Watching content on it has been immersive, even though it is a much smaller display than that of the S24 Plus and S24 Ultra. Of course, it’s an excellent display with symmetrical bezels, and the overall quality is very vibrant. I haven’t had any issues consuming media, especially with the speaker system. I have to say, the speakers are very immersive and sound excellent—they’re not tinny at all. The clarity overall is stellar.

Performance and Battery Life
This is the main Android I’ve carried with me for quite a few months now—the main Android that’s lived in my pocket and been on the go with me. I’ve absolutely loved using it. The fingerprint sensor on the front is super fast and consistently smooth. I haven’t had a single issue unlocking the device. I’ve used the face unlock, but personally, I prefer the fingerprint unlock, and as you can see here, it works very well.
In terms of performance, this is backed by Snapdragon’s latest, so it absolutely flies through anything you throw at it. The 120Hz refresh rate on the display is incredibly smooth—it’s buttery smooth, with no issues or lag. It’s excellent through anything I’ve thrown at it, even in the summer heat. On-the-go wireless charging in the car hasn’t caused any overheating either. It stays cool to the touch regardless of the environment. Samsung has done a phenomenal job addressing updates, and I’ve received several over the last few months.
I haven’t reviewed this device earlier because I wanted to put it through its paces. The more I used the more I liked it, so I continued using it to see if any potential issues would stand out. Honestly, I haven’t found many issues with regular s24 . I’ve enjoyed using it, and even the battery has been stellar. I easily get about two days of use. It charges quickly with wired charging, wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging, so there are plenty of options. From a battery standpoint, it lasts me about two full days of usage.
Cameras
In terms of cameras, you might think I would miss the cameras from the S24 Ultra. The S24 Plus has a similar setup to the S24, but the S24 overall has a really solid camera setup. I haven’t found myself missing any of the camera features on the S24 Ultra personally. For me, I couldn’t justify the price point. I really like the photos I get from the S24, as you can see in various lighting conditions, portrait mode, etc. All the photos tend to look pretty good in all lighting conditions, even in low light. I was pleasantly surprised using the cameras on this device.
Video is also great. This video here was shot on the S24, so whether you’re a content creator or just looking to capture great videos for friends and share moments, you’ll be able to do so easily with the Samsung Galaxy S24.
Conclusion
Overall, I know I’ve rambled on a lot about the different features and specs here with the S24, but again, all in all, this has to be my favorite Android device so far in 2024. Using this phone, I’ve been pleasantly surprised throughout the entire experience. I love the build, the design, the camera experience, and all the features packed into the S24. You even have DeX in this tiny phone— it’s great, just amazing. I think what Samsung has done here with the regular S24 offers a lot of value, and I truly believe this is the most underrated smartphone out of all the smartphones, especially in Samsung’s lineup.
Many people gravitate toward the Plus, the S24 Ultra, or the Fold or Flip, but I have to say, check out the regular S24. There’s a ton of value packed into this device. Throughout my usage over the last few months, honestly it’s taken me quite some time to review this one. As I mentioned, I’ve reviewed the S24 Plus and the S24 Ultra—those thoughts came to mind pretty quickly during my use. But with the S24, I’ve had to spend more time with it, trying to find issues with it. Eventually, I realized I was just carrying this device every day, along with other Samsung accessories in their ecosystem, and I’ve personally loved this device.
